Hidden Way

Hidden Way was inspired by the green lanes of Derbyshire, where ancient trees form a natural arch over the pathway. Walking through them feels cool and shadowed, almost enclosed. And then the sun moves and everything changes.

The leaves ignite. The path ahead is suddenly illuminated. What felt like a tunnel becomes a cathedral. The hidden way reveals itself not by changing but by being seen in the right light.

This is one of my first large scale paintings and there is something ambitious in it that I still feel. The scale matches the subject. Some moments deserve a big canvas.
