Into the Blue

Description

Into the Blue is a painting about the edge between two worlds. Warm golds and earthy greens sweep across the upper canvas with heavy, textured brushwork you can feel from across the room. Below them, deep saturated blues take over completely, cool and vast and uninterrupted.

Between the two, a band of white light runs diagonally across the surface. Not separating them. Connecting them. The place where warmth meets depth and neither one wins.

I wanted this painting to feel like standing on the edge of something. That moment where the familiar ground gives way and you are about to fall forward into something bigger than you expected.
