Not everything I paint needs a frame and a wall of its own.

This is where the smaller, rawer work lives. Studies, small canvases and pieces on paper that never made it into the main collections, not because they’re lesser, but because they were made differently. Quicker. Looser. Sometimes it’s me working something out before a bigger piece, sometimes it’s a painting that was always going to stay this size.

The Burnt Skies studies are the first of these: some small canvases, 30 x 30cm, painted alongside the larger piece Reckoning. Same fire, same pull from darkness into light, just concentrated into something smaller.

Alongside them you’ll find unframed work on paper (up to A2) and small unframed canvases. Unframed keeps the price down and leaves the choice to you, hang it as it is, or get it framed your way.
