Description
Azure Mist wasn’t planned as a seascape. It began as something else entirely — an exploration of light and mist at the base of Mam Tor in the Derbyshire Peak District. That particular quality of morning light where landscape dissolves into atmosphere and the solid world becomes something softer and less certain.
As the blues deepened I leaned into them rather than pulling back. The painting knew where it was going before I did.
What emerged has the feeling of water without depicting it. The mist at the foot of the mountain and the mist above the sea share the same language. Soft, enveloping, quietly beautiful. A world where edges dissolve and only light and colour remain.
