Description

Peace is not the absence of movement. Look at this painting and you will see that immediately. There is plenty of movement here, blue on blue on blue, shifting and rolling and curling back on itself. But there is something in it that settles you rather than agitates you. A rhythm that your nervous system recognises and responds to before your brain has caught up.

The white breaks across the centre with a quiet authority. Not violent like a storm, not timid like a ripple. Exactly the right amount of force. And beneath it the gold threads through the darker water like something precious that has always been there, patient and unhurried, waiting to be noticed.
