Edge

Description

Edge is about that moment right before everything changes. The sky is on fire and the ground beneath it has gone dark and quiet, and somewhere along that line where the two meet, something is happening that you cannot quite name.

I painted this to sit in the tension between heat and stillness. The reds rise and burn while the foreground holds its silence, heavy and grounded. The bright break in the sky pulls your eye upward, but the darkness below keeps you anchored. That pull between the two is the whole point.

A painting for anyone who lives a little closer to the edge than is comfortable, and would not have it any other way.
