Emerald Surge

Description

Emerald Surge was a deliberate challenge to myself. My paintings had found a natural language of darkness and light, storm and calm, shadow and hope. I wanted to know if I could paint joy directly. Brightness without the journey through dark to get there.

What emerged was bold, vivid and unashamedly alive. The greens and golds surge with an energy that doesn’t need a storm to justify it. Sometimes the light just is. Sometimes colour is the whole story.

This is a painting for a space that needs life in it. Pure, uncomplicated, generous light.
