Escape

Description

Escape is a painting about the moment just after. Not the drama of what came before, but the stillness that follows when something has passed through and left the air changed. The light here is cool and searching, moving across a landscape that feels neither fully land nor fully sky. Somewhere between the two, which is exactly where the most interesting things happen.

The teal and blue carry a freshness that feels almost physical. Like cold air on your face first thing in the morning. The warmer earth tones beneath anchor it just enough to stop it floating away entirely. There is tension here, but it is the good kind. The kind that makes you want to keep looking.
