Rapture

Description

Rapture is about the lift that comes after. Not the weather itself but the clearing of it, that pure hit of space and light when the sky finally opens up and the air feels new again. There is real joy in this one, an openness that makes you stand a little taller. Brilliant blue stretches across the upper canvas, vast and unbroken, while white surf rolls and tumbles along the horizon, textured and alive with movement.

The foam is thick and worked, catching the light in ridges and breaks, set against deep teal water below. It is a painting full of breath and freedom, the feeling of a coast that has shrugged off the storm. A painting that rewards time. The more you sit with it, the more it gives back.
